UpSkillAI (“UpSkillAI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an immersive virtual reality platform for education, training, assessment, and certification. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the UpSkillAI application on Meta Quest devices.
1) Information We Collect
A.Account and Organization Information (if applicable)
- Name, email address, user ID, organization/institution identifier
B. Training, Assessment, and Certification Data
- Simulation results and performance metrics (e.g., task completion, timing, accuracy, decision points, scoring)
- Session metadata (e.g., scenario ID, completion status, attempt count)
C. User Action Data (Interaction Telemetry)
- In-app actions and events (e.g., menu selections, object interactions, navigation events, error states)
- Device/app diagnostics (e.g., crash logs, performance logs, app version)
D. Voice Data
If you use features that involve voice input, we may collect and process:
- Voice recordings and/or audio snippets captured during app use
- Transcripts derived from voice
- Metadata about voice interactions
E. Hand Tracking Data
If you enable hand tracking features, we may collect and process:
- Hand tracking signals such as hand pose, joint positions, gestures, and interaction events
- Metadata about hand tracking sessions (e.g., timestamps, features used)
2) How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Deliver VR education, training, assessment, and certification experiences
- Evaluate performance and produce results, reports, and feedback
- Support instructor review, targeted feedback, and certification workflows (where applicable)
- Improve simulations, interactions, and overall product quality
- Train and improve our models that power user experience and in-app intelligence (including improving recognition of voice input and hand interactions)
- Provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security
Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate legal bases (such as consent) for processing voice and hand tracking data. You may be able to disable voice and/or hand tracking features in-app; some functionality may be limited if disabled.
3) How We Share Information
We do not sell user data or use it for third-party advertising.
We may share information only in the following cases:
- With your affiliated organization/institution (e.g., instructors/admins) for training, assessment, and certification workflows
- With service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, security), subject to confidentiality and security obligations
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
If we use human review to improve model quality (for example, reviewing samples to improve recognition or reduce errors), access is limited to authorized personnel and/or vetted service providers under confidentiality obligations.
4) Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for training/assessment/certification records, organizational requirements, product improvement, reliability, and security.
Voice and hand tracking retention:
- Raw voice recordings/audio snippets are retained for up to [X days/months] (or shorter if feasible).

- Derived or de-identified features and aggregated metrics may be retained longer to maintain and improve the service.
5) Access, Deletion, and Requests

To help us verify and locate your data, include the email used in the app and (if applicable) your organization/institution name.
We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe. We may retain limited information if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or to meet contractual obligations with an organization/institution. If a request cannot be fully fulfilled, we will explain the reason.
6) Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. We review and update security practices and address known vulnerabilities.
7) Children’s Privacy
UpSkillAI is intended for use in supervised educational and professional environments. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children outside institutionally authorized use.
8) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted at the same URL with an updated last updated date.
